Latka-Con is a day of fun for both families and adults (couples or singles) that occurs on 12/25 and is geared towards those who do not have other plans and are looking for something to do on a day that most businesses are closed.
There are two separate Latka-Con events on 12/25.
A family event starts at 10 AM and ends at 1 PM.
An adult geared event starts at 1 PM and ends at 6 PM.
The second, 2023 edition of Latka-Con will be held at 1012 Grand Street in Hoboken, NJ at Play! Hoboken.
If all goes well again, we'll look for additional locations for 2024.
You are welcome to purchase tickets to either event, but those with tickets for the family friendly event will be required to pay extra to attend the 1 PM event. Those who have tickets for the 1 PM event are welcome to come early but A) No BYOB until 1 PM and B) Food is limited, so please have no more than one plate of food until we are sure everyone has had.
The Chinese Buffet will be purchased from Chopstix in Teaneck, NJ.
Other food items may or may not be Kosher.
This is not a singles event, but singles are welcome to attend. We would consider adding a third event geared towards singles, but there seem to be other singles events occurring either on 12/24 or 12/25: and the hope is to create an event that fills the greatest need.
No outside food is permitted. Those attending the 1 PM event may bring wine and beer only.
Play! Hoboken has all the latest titles of table top games. We also have 17 pool tables, 7 golf simulators (one will be made available for this event), 2 foosball tables, 4 dartboards (3 will be available, but no children will be permitted to play darts), 10 pinball machines, arcade games and an eSports area (Xbox/Playstation/Switch). Plus two newly added bowling lanes.
With supervision, Play! Hoboken has games appropriate for children as young as 3 years old. Adults of any age are permitted to attend either event (but no BYOB until 1 PM).
Children under 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult. Children 12 or older may attend the family event without an adult, but must be well behaved or will be asked to leave. No children are permitted to attend the adult event, however: the facility will attempt to accommodate the general public for games in the afternoon outside of the event if it is possible (specifically for golf and billiards, separate bookings are recommended for those not coming to the event).
